Baking From The Heart
Bev and Dar started baking fruitcakes together in 2004, each November 11th, as part of our traditional Christmas baking for family and friends. We tried over a dozen different recipes, and through trial and error we created our favourite recipes. In 2018, we turned our love of fruitcake from a hobby into a business, creating “Two Old Crows Confections.”
Due to success in our first year, in 2019 we transitioned from baking in our home kitchens to a commercial kitchen. This enabled us to expand beyond traditional farmers markets and sell at a variety of venues from October to December, as well as directly to individuals and for corporate gifts.
Two Old Crows Confections priority is to deliver a moist, delicious, homemade fruitcake. Our cakes are loaded with traditional fruitcake mix as well as some non-traditional ingredients. Each cake has its own unique flavour, providing a pleasant tasting experience for young and old. Even those who are not fruitcake lovers have enjoyed the taste and variety of cakes we offer.
Two Old Crows feels fruitcake is not just for Christmas – our clients agree. It is a perfect companion with tea or coffee for a lovely afternoon or evening treat any time of the year.
